1st in Finnkampen

Last competition for this season is behind. It’s always nice to end a season with a win. Now I’m so tired, both physically and mentally. Gotta load the batteries for a while, before starting a new season.
Now it’s time to thank all the blog readers. It’s been a pleasure writing this blog. Also I wish all the best for Anna, Lotte and Anders!
Last but not least I want to thank all the people I’m working with and who are making all this sport possible. THANK YOU!
1st in the Nationals

Yesterday we had National Championships in 20 km. Oh boy it was a tough race! I could feel London in my body from the beginning of the race, but I wanted to win and that’s what I did. Still one competition to go for this season. Next week we have – always so delightful – Finnkampen in Gothenburg
I need to recover before that, let’s keep fingers crossed!
New watch

Got a new watch from Suunto. There’s a built-in GPS, so lately I’ve been measuring new routes in my home town, cool!
Boat trip

After the olympics I had some time for mini vacation. Had a little cruise with my “own” boat
Ending the games

As the olympic torch was extinguished the feenix raised from the flames, awesome!
In the stadium
»14 Aug 2012, 23:40
Again two over exhausted persons
This time Antti, a fellow walker and I. It was wonderful to be inside the stadium and hear the crowd cheering. I had goose bumps as soon as we entered the stadium and they lasted through the whole ceremony
Btw, Antti’s head isn’t burning and the person behind me isn’t hitting me, though it seems like that
On our way to the closing ceremony

Here’s my coach. As you can see the road was full of athletes, coaches, physios etc. on their way to the closing ceremony. That’s why it was hard to get a sharp picture… but perhaps it was a good thing
Place 15 and PB
»14 Aug 2012, 22:49
Results from my second olympics: a new pb 3.46,25 and 15th place, quite satisfied. It was amazing to walk in front of the cheering crowd, I mean AMAZING!! I’ve never felt that kind of atmosphere anywhere. Furthermore, seeing my closest family members near the course gave me a lot of power in the last kilometres. THANK YOU ALL!
Feeling strong before the race :)
